What is inter-bank exchange rate?
Inter-bank exchange rate refers to the exchange rate at which banks buy and sell currencies from one another. It is the rate at which one bank exchanges its currency for the currency of another bank. Inter-bank exchange rates are usually used by banks for large transactions between themselves, such as settling international transactions, and are not typically available to the public. However with Zavo, we offer access to interbank rates to all of our customers.
How much does it cost to exchange currency?
The cost to exchange currency depends on the plan selected. For the free plan, there is a charge of 1.2% above the interbank rate for currency exchange, while the premium plan has a charge of 0.95% above the interbank rate. Customers can use the exchange calculator provided on the 'transfers & fx' page to see a breakdown of the costs for their specific currency exchange transaction.
How much does it cost to send payments and transfers?
For local payments, the cost can range from 1-4£ depending on the country, while SWIFT payments have a flat fee of 15£. However, local payments in GBP, USD, and EUR are free. Please view the 'pricing' page for a detailed breakdown of all of the cost of payments to each country.
